Contract Types for Drivers: 1099 Independent Contractors (Company drivers). An LLC business account is not mandatory. If a driver has one, they can sign a contract with their business.

Minimum Driving Experience: 12 months of experience is required, with clean driving and criminal history for drivers with 12-24 months of experience.

Payment for Miles: All miles, whether empty or loaded, are paid, from ZIP to ZIP

Charges in Case of Driver-Fault Accidents: Charges are deducted from the driver’s paycheck on a weekly basis, as agreed upon.

Payment for Detention, Extra Stops, Layovers, and Inspections: Detention: Detention, layovers, and extra stops are added to the gross. Drivers are paid a percentage of the gross. Clean inspection bonuses are $300 for level 2 and $450 for level 1. There are fines for easily detectable violations during PTI, $20 per negative point.

Driver Payment Information: Initial paycheck arrives on the second week (e.g., starting Monday 1st, first paycheck on the 15th) and subsequently every Friday via direct deposit.

Default Home Time (except Florida): Drivers typically stay on the road for at least two weeks, with two days off. The home time policy is the same regardless of location, except for drivers from Florida, who are not hired.

Truck Speed: 70 MPH.

Truck Equipment: New trucks are equipped with APU, inverter, and fridge. Older trucks lack APU. All trucks have PrePass and Ipass.

Orientation: Orientation is one day, held on Monday or Thursday, with flights, hotels, bus/train tickets, and Uber rides covered, plus $50 for the orientation day.

Truck Assignment during Orientation: Trucks are assigned based on availability. Drivers stay at a hotel 20 minutes from the orientation site in Davenport, IA.

Pet & Rider Policy: Allowed, but the driver covers truck cleaning expenses.

Truck Parking Expenses during Home Time: Drivers are responsible for covering truck parking expenses themselves.
