Contract Types for Drivers: 1099 Contract

Minimum Driving Experience: A minimum of 18 months of verifiable driving experience is required by EMR.

Payment for Miles: All miles, whether empty or loaded, are paid, from ZIP to ZIP

Charges in Case of Driver-Fault Accidents: Charges are deducted from the driver’s paycheck on a weekly basis, as agreed upon.

Payment for Detention, Extra Stops, Layovers, and Inspections:

Detention: Approximately $25/hour after 4 hours of waiting.

Full layover: Around $100.

Extra stop: $50. Good inspection payments vary, ranging from $100 to $300 depending on the level.

Driver Payment Information: Initial paycheck arrives on the second week (e.g., starting Monday 1st, first paycheck on the 15th) and subsequently every Friday via direct deposit.

Operational Areas: Primarily Midwest and East, occasionally West. Safety is a top priority during winter.

Default Home Time (except Florida): One full week on the road followed by 2 days off. Florida drivers leave the truck at the yard and the company covers travel expenses. Top FL drivers (Jacksonville) can take the truck home but must remain OTR for a minimum of 3 weeks.

Truck Speed: 70 MPH.

Truck Equipment: New trucks are equipped with APU, inverter, and fridge. Older trucks lack APU. All trucks have PrePass and Ipass.

Orientation: One day.

Truck Assignment during Orientation: Based on driving test results, candidate attitude, and overall driving experience.

Pet & Rider Policy: Allowed, but the driver covers truck cleaning expenses.

Truck Parking Expenses during Home Time: Drivers are responsible for covering truck parking expenses themselves.
